of the "pen and pencil" books take a country as its subject,
with "Sea Pictures..." and "London Pictures..."
completing the set. The "pen and pencil" travel books are
190 to 230 pages, and each includes between 70 and 190 in-text and full-page
engravings. Most have a page-size map of the country, and some
include a folded color map. Many end with a six- to ten-page section
of advertisements for other
